Recurring giving

At our online giving site, there is the option to set up a recurring gift to the church. You can designate whether you would like this gift debited from your checking our credit card. You can also specify whether you want your contribution made one time, weekly, twice per month, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. See below for some frequently asked questions on recurring giving.
What if I try online giving and don’t like it?
There is no requirement to continue to use online giving.  It is very easy to begin or stop.
What if I need to change the amount of a recurring gift, or cancel altogether?
You can view, edit, or delete a scheduled contribution at anytime, including the credit card, date, frequency and amount as long as you created an account on the giving page.

Are there any fees involved with giving online?
Not for the giver.  The church pays any fees associated with online giving.
Is there anything else to know with recurring giving?
When you schedule a recurring donation, a small validation amount (.11 cents) will pend on your account BUT WILL NOT be charged or post to your account.  It is only for validation purposes.  Please allow 2-3 days for this to disappear.

Young Couple's Group starting March 25th

A new group for young couples is starting next month.  The group will be lead by Nick Bradshaw and will meet on Tuesday nights from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.  The location will be the church building and the start date is Tuesday, March 25th. The group will initially meet for the six weeks of our upcoming “Real Love” series.

For more information, contact the church at groups@newlifecommunitychurch.net or Nick at nick@newlifecommunitychurch.net.

Can you help us reach our community?

Many of the people who attend New Life came as result of receiving a flyer in the mail. This has been an important way for us to let our community know that we’re here, and that we want to help other know Christ. We want to continue this practice by sending a flyer to each home within our immediate area – approximately 20,000 homes. We need your help to do this.
Church finances are tight, so the only way to do this is through a special giving. We’re looking for people who can give, over and above their regular giving, to help us reach out to our community. The total cost breaks down to about $30 to reach 100 people. Can you help with the cost of this outreach? If so, when you make your gift, designate it “mailer."

On Sunday, Mike shared from 1 Corinthians 6 about choosing to move past the past. The big idea he shared was that because of Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God, who we once were is not who we are anymore. In case you missed it, you can listen to the message and download the complete outline of all the Scripture that was shared here.

Can you pray for members of our church?

If so, you may want to join our prayer team. Each week, members of our church turn in personal prayer requests. These prayer requests are put on a prayer list and sent to those who will left them up in prayer. If you have a desire to pray for others, you may be a great fit for this prayer team.

People who are part of this prayer team must be members of New Life and must make a commitment to keep all requests confidential. If you are interested in being a part of this team, send an email to prayer@newlifecommunitychurch.net and we will contact you about what’s involved.

Counseling Resources

We desire to spiritually support our members through the different challenges of life.  Our primary vehicle for spiritual support are Life Groups. Life Groups are a place where members can share needs, pray for each and receive spiritual support and encouragement.

While we hope that many needs can be meet in small groups, we realize that often times a member may need a trained counselor or a specialized support group to provide the needed help.

While our church does not have “in-house” counseling or support groups, we can point you to two local organizations that can help.  These local resources can supplement the spiritual support our church provides.  One of the organizations focuses on counseling, the other offers support groups.  To learn more, check out our Counseling Resource Page.

This weekend's message

On Sunday, we learned about Choosing to Resolve Differences God's Way. 1 Corinthians 6 shows us these seven things to think about:
1. Am I handling this conflict in a way that looks to God and honors Him? vs 1 “ungodly”
2. In the big picture of things, is this really worth fighting about? vs 2-3 “trivial”
3. Is my priority to approach the matter in a way that pleases God and resolves the problem? vs. 4-5
Three goals of Christian problem solving.
        • To resolve the problem
        • To reconcile the people involved
        • To honor God in the process
4. Is my approach likely to promote reconciliation or further division? vs 6 “against”
5. Is what I may win worth what I may lose? vs 7 “completely defeated”
6. If push comes to shove, am I willing to choose being wronged, rather than doing wrong. vs 7- 8 “be wronged…do wrong”
7. Am I willing to follow Christ’s example even if it’s difficult? vs 7 “why not rather be wronged?”

To listen to the message, visit our website at newlifecommunitychurch.net

Office Closed February 17th

Just a reminder that our church offices will be closed on Monday, February 17th for President's Day. The office will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, February 18th.

Are you reading your Bible?

Are you reading through the book of John? You are if you're following our Bible Reading Challenge. The Bible is the inspired word of God that helps us to know God and follow Him. Many of us own a Bible, but don’t have a regular plan for reading it. To help bring focus, we’ve put together a Bible reading plan that brings you through a chapter of the Bible each day. If you follow this day-by-day checklist, you’ll be taking the next step toward knowing more of God’s Word.

Check out our website to download our Bible Reading Challenge checklist.
