Helping Those in Need

Would you like to help someone in need?

The Bible says, “He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done” Proverbs 19:17. The holidays are a great time to reach out to those in need. There are members of our community, and even in our own church family who can use a helping hand over Christmas. Here are a few ways that you can get involved:
1) Buy a gift card to a local supermarket and drop it off at the church office, we'll then pass it along to someone in need.
2) Make a special financial gift to the church and designate it for "members in need," we'll direct 100% of the gift to a member who could use a helping hand.

Join Us for our Love Never Fails Series!

Love is the most important quality in any relationship.  The Bible says, “Now these three remain, faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love”  So join us on August 3rd for the start of “Love Never Fails” and learn how to put love into practice in your relationships.  Service times are at 9:30 am and 11:00 am, so pick the time that’s best for you.

On Sunday, we continued through our "Discovering Your Part in God's Plan" series in 1 Corinthians 12. Here are some observations from the passage about how we play a part in God's plan:
1) Even though we’re all different, together we each play a part in one body.
2) Each person is a needed part in the mission of Christ.
3) Each part may be different, but all are equally important.
4) You are the body of Christ and each of you is a part of it.

Mexico Outreach

Our church supports an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico called Estado 29. Towards the beginning of each month, a team of volunteers goes on a one-day trip to Ensenada to help share God's love with the kids there.

This past Sunday we highlighted serving at New Life. If you would like to get involved, but didn’t turn in a “Get Involved” slip, you can fill out our online interest form, and we’ll contact you about ways to get involved.

Promotion Sunday August 3rd

Hello parents of New Life! This Sunday, August 3rd all kids moving into the next age or grade will start in their new class. To find out which class your child should be in stop by the Kidzlife Welcome Tent on Sunday. 

We know that some kids may have unique situations. If you are unsure about which class your child should be in, please contact the church office or email us at kidzlife@newlifecommunitychurch.net

Digging Deeper in the Book of Exodus

Are you reading through the book of Exodus? You are if you're doing our Bible Reading Challenge. We're encouraging members to read a chapter of the Bible each day, and right now we're in the third book of the Bible, the book of Exodus. Join us as we observe God, love, and life through our reading.

Discovering Your Part in God's Plan Workshop

God created each person with a life purpose. Join us on July 30th for a workshop on discovering your part in God’s plan. This three-week workshop meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. To sign up or for more information, email us at info@newlifecommunitychurch.net

Help Support Children in Need

Our church supports the Estado 29 Orphanage near Ensenada, Mexico. A practical way to show Christ’s love is to donate items to the children at Estado 29. The orphanage has an ongoing need of basic items to help care for the children. 

Household items

·       toilet paper

·       cooking oil

·       dish cleaning liquid

·       clothes cleaning liquid

·       clorox

·       pine-sol

·       windex

·       shampoo

·       toothpaste

·       deodorants

·       feminine hygiene products

Food items

·       powder milk

·       chocolate mix for milk

·       coffee

·       sugar

·       beans

·       rice

Smaller items may be dropped off in the Mexico drop box on the 4th Sunday of each month. For larger items please contact Jacob Ruiz to make arrangements for the supplies to be directly delivered to him. This will help to keep donations organized and ensure they get to the orphanage in a timely manner. You can reach Jacob at 760-218-9683.

Offering Envelopes

Offering envelopes are available in the lobby. They are especially useful when giving a special gift or giving cash. When we receive cash, we need the donor's information in order to record it for income tax purposes.

New Series Starts Sunday

God has given us each a special role to play in the mission of Christ.  Join us as we learn more about Spiritual Gifts and the part they play in the cause of Christ. “Discovering Your Part in God’s Plan” starts July 20^th. Service times are 9:30 and 11:00 am, so pick the time that’s best for you.
