Thanks to the Set Up Team!

Over the last couple of weeks we've had several guests who came as a result of seeing the our signs outside of Santiago. Do you know how our signs get there? Each Sunday a team of people arrive early and stay late to set up signs, set up classes, and get us ready for worship.

The set up and take down team are "behind the scenes" servants who turn the high school into a place where we can worship God. It's a often hard work without a lot of direct thanks. So we want to stop and say thanks to our Set-up/Take Down team! You guys rock!

Next time you see someone helping set up, shoot them a big thanks! They make our services possible!

Our Property Value Went Up!

Our church just made $200,000 (at least on paper!) Our property was just appraised for 1,828,000 dollars. That’s $200,000 more than we paid for it!

This price increase is even more encouraging, when you consider that it happened during a year when the overall real estate market has softened.

Let’s thank God that our spiritual investment (a place for our church) is so far, turning out to be a financial investment. This is a blessing, because the more equity we have in the property the more options we have in taking the next step.

Do you need the outline or small group questions from Sunday? You can download them online at our weekend services page.

Building Update

As most of you know we’re talking to the owner of a building which is being constructed directly next to our property. Our most recent contact with him was July 19th and he is still working out the costs. As soon as we find out more, we’ll let you know. But he still very much wants to have us meet in his building.

In related news: A week ago, we were approached by a real estate agent about another building opportunity in Wildrose business park, a partially completed building right next to Executive Plumbing.

We’re still waiting on information, but the point being, we’re actively looking for a better meeting location for our church. Please pray for God’s guidance.

Would you be willing to pray for the church?

Shoot us a quick message at prayer@newlifecommunitychurch.net, and put “all church prayer email” in the subject line of your email.

Sponsor A Teen

The Junior and Senior High students are preparing for their annual camp at Ponderosa Pines and Hume Lake. Some of the youth could use some financial help to be able to make this trip. If you would like to help sponsor the youth of our church for camp, call Nick Bradshaw at 736-5433 or if writing a check on Sunday morning, write “camp sponsorship” in the memo line.

"The Promise" Video

As part of our one hit wonder series, we took the song, "The Promise" (by When in Rome) and put some Bible verses with it. We showed it and the end of the service. Here is it....

P.S. For each book of the Bible we picked a song to go with it. For the book of Jude we choose the song "The Promise" because Jude ends with one of the greatest promises in the Bible.

Have you been by the property lately?

Have you been to the property lately?

If so, you've noticed some movement. The owner of the property next to us is beginning construction of a new building. This is of interest to us for two reasons...

1) This is the building he has approached us about leasing space in.
2) As part of the development process he'll be doing some improvements on our land

Stay tuned for more information.

Grading has begun on the adjoining property
Equipment is being put in place for the construction of this new building

Bill Bayer Passed Away

One of our church members, Bill Bayer passed away. Bill was 78 years old. He went into the hospital at 7:00 am, and passed away two hours later. Bill has been attending New Life for several years and will be missed. Bill normally attended the 11:00 service and sat toward the front, he wore glasses and always wore at tie. Bill lived in Redlands, and would drive out on Sunday mornings to be with us. It’s sad to lose a member, but as believers we have hope in Christ.

“Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies” John 11:25

P.S. Bill’s family is all on the East Coast and his funeral arrangements will be handled by them.

Communion - This Sunday - July 8th

This Sunday, July 8th, we’ll be serving communion at both our weekend services. Join us for either the 9:30 or 11:00 service as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.

Here's a passage from God's word on communion "The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes"
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
