"Focus" Series (11.24.19 Message)

Today we started a series called "Focus".  Our topic was "Focus - Focus your mind on Christ".  Topic points:

1) When it comes to "Christ" and "my life", how many fingers do you see?
2) Am I willing to say a final goodbye to that which Christ died for?
3) Am I putting on what God is making new?
4) Am I resisting or embracing my new clothes?
5) Am I recognizing or resisting Christ's rule in my heart?
6) Am I letting Christ's word dwell in me richly or poorly?
7) Am I "doing it all" in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ?

Connecting Point - Sunday, December 8th

Connecting Point is a great first step to get connected  at New Life.  It's a forty-five minute lunch that is designed to help you learn more about our church.  It's an opportunity to discover ways to grow, to ask questions and to meet some of our leaders.

Our next Connecting Point will meet in Room #2 on Sunday, December 8th from 12:15p.m. - 1:00p.m.  Bring the whole family and we'll bring the lunch.  You  can sign up at our info center on Sundays after the services or by emailing us here.

BBQ Events for 2020

Throughout the year we have BBQ’s after the Sunday services.  These events provide an opportunity to hang out together, eat and have fun.  As we start 2020, we are looking for a BBQ point person.  This individual would purchase supplies during the week, set up the BBQ on Sunday, and oversee the event.  If you’re interested in helping, let us know and we can share more details.  To find out more, send an email to info@newlifecommunitychurch.net

3) Don't look to principles and rules rather than Christ.
4) Do't look to smart sounding, spiritual powerless plans, rather than Christ.
5) Don't look to self-imposed worship rather than Christ.
6) Don't look to behavioral restraint rather than Christ.
7) A transformed life is the result of being united with Christ Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection.

Today we continued our "Fullness" series.  Our topic was "Fullness - Experiencing fullness in Christ: Be changed by Him who changes".  Topic points:

4) It happens because the one who rules over everything has become, for me, everything.
5) It happens "in Christ".
6) It happens "by Christ".
7) It happens as I experience new life in Christ.
8) It happens by faith in the power of God who raised Christ from the dead.
