1) Bulletins: Volunteer every other month helping to fold, stuff, and prepare the bulletins for our weekly services. This involves a weekly pick up and drop off of bulletin materials and about 1 hour to package bulletins for the month you serve.
2) Info Center Host: Welcome and assist service attendees at our info center after the 9:30 or 11 am service. This is a once a month or every other week position.
3) Kidzlife Check-In Center Host: Welcome and assist parents checking in their kids for classes. This involves arriving early to the 9:30 or 11 am service. This is a once a month or every other week position.
4) Greeters: Greet and assist service attenders at our 9:30 or 11 am service. This involves arriving early to one of the services. This is a once a month or every other week position.
5) Refreshments: Provide a welcoming and connecting atmosphere by preparing snacks & drinks for our weekly services. This is a once a month position preparing for both services. This involves purchasing & preparing snacks during the week, arriving at 10:10 am on Sunday to set up for first service. Then also setting up for the 2nd service.

Are you "On Mission"?
Around New Life you’ll hear the phrase “On Mission”. There’s a reason. Our goal is to help people live “On Mission” for Jesus Christ. If you’re new to our church, we want to give you idea of what being “On Mission” is all about. So with that in mind, read on!
What does it mean to be on mission? A “On mission” person is someone who understands and engages in the mission Christ has given our church.
What is our church’s Mission? Our purpose is to reach people for Christ and get them grounded, growing and on mission. That is our picture of what a disciple-making church looks like
What does an “On Mission” Person Look Like? An on mission person is someone who embraces and lives out our mission of being “grounded, growing, on mission”. Those three words have specific meanings for us. So let’s look at a quick snapshot of what a grounded, growing and on mission member looks like.
Someone who is grounded in Christ…
• Places their faith in Christ’s finished work
• Experiences assurance of salvation through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
• Publicly declares their faith through Baptism
Someone who is growing in Christ…
• Understands the faith essentials
• Embraces the discipleship essentials
• Pursues opportunities for growing together in Christ
Someone who is on mission for Christ…
• Make a commitment to the body of Christ
• Makes a contribution to the cause of Christ.
• Pursues their unique role in the mission of Christ
Will you be on mission with us?

July Giving Update 2011
We were $4,471.75 short of our monthly budget.
How much does it “cost” to run the church?
In a 5 Sunday month it takes a minimum of $35,747. This is the bare bones fixed costs of keeping the doors open. It allows us to pay the bills and fund a minimal amount to our ministries.
How much was the actual giving for the month?
The giving for July was $31,275.25
What do we do cover the short fall?
Currently we are allocating money for our monthly costs and keeping excess funds to help cover possible future giving that does not cover the monthly budget. We currently have enough excess to cover this short fall.
Is there anything else I need to know?
If you’re someone who regularly gives to God at New Life: Thanks! Your giving makes a difference.
If you’re someone who is not yet giving: Make a decision to get involved. Take the first step toward the biblical practice of giving. You can find out more about giving here.
And for everyone: Please take time this week to pray for the finances of both our church family, and the individual families that make up New Life.

August Leader's Rally
This Sunday- Dreaming
Some people are dream chasers, others are dream crushers. It's one thing to have a dream, it's another to see it come to reality. In the Bible, we see a guy who had a dream and all the obstacles he had to overcome along the way. People tried to put him down, but God was at work in his life to bring the dream to pass. Join us in the month of August for a series on the life of Joseph from the book of Genesis.
For more information on our series, please click here.
