Christmas Outreach for Casa Hogar

Our Church supports an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico called Casa Hogar.

Our goal this Christmas Season is to have every child at Casa Hogar supported with a gift. Look for the Christmas Tree at the information table this Sunday to pick your child to sponsor.

God's Kitchen

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35

Our church helps feed those in need on the second Wednesday of each month. We do this through a partnership with a local organization called "God's Kitchen" For more information contact Ingrid Mirander at ingridmirander@yahoo.com or sign-up at the Information Table. October Giving Update

2010 Giving Report- October

How did we do in the month of October?

We fell short by a total of $7086 for the month of October.

How much does it “cost” to run the church?

It takes a minimum of $7426 a week during a “5-Sunday” month. This is the bare bones fixed costs of keeping the doors open. It allows us to pay the bills, but leaves little for actual ministry. A more ideal level of funding is $8000 a week. This allows us to pay the bills and have money for ministry.

How much was the actual giving for the month?

The giving for October averaged $6009 a week, this results in a $1417 a week shortfall from our minimim weekly budget of $7426. This added up to a monthly shortfall of $7086.

What does that mean?

It means two things - 1) We fell short of covering even our most basic costs, and 2) We needed to tap into our reserve money to pay the bills. Obviously this is not a good thing, and if it continues, we’ll have to make further cuts to an already bare bone budget.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Who's Your One?

At New Life we ask members the question, "Who's Your One"? This question flows from the Biblical truth that each person matters to God. Our hope is that each member of New Life would have one person they are praying for and reaching out to with the love of Christ. Take time this week to identify and pray for your "One".

November Leader's Rally

Women's Retreat at New Life

Join us Saturday, November 6th, 2010 from 9 am to 12 at New Life Community Church for our Women's Retreat! Our speaker is Cindy Belleville from Calvary of Placentia. She will be speaking on "A Cord of 3 Strands" from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. Come down for a great time of fellowship, fun, and growth. The event is free and a continental breakfast will be provided. Sign up at the info table this Sunday!

Gospel for Asia

Meet Saliendro Kochhap. He is the missionary that we support through Gospel for Asia. Gospel for Asia is a sending agency that's purpose is to share the Good News of Jesus with those who have never heard His name. Gospel for Asia trains and sends national missionaries to unreached people groups to remove any social barriers from the Gospel. Saliendro is able to share the Gospel with many unreached people through our support. Please pray for his safety and the growth of his ministry.

Digging Deeper in the Gospel of John

Are you reading the Gospel of John? You are if you're doing our Bible Reading Challenge. We're encouraging members to read a chapter of the Bible each day, and right now we're in the book of John. John is one of the four gospels. The gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, are an account of Jesus' life from his birth to his resurrection.
