Accelerate Starts January 25th

Accelerate is a small group designed to move you forward in your relationship with Christ and your connection to the church family. Our next groups begins January 25th on Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM and runs for 8 weeks.

Gospel for Asia

Meet Saliendro Kochhap. He is the missionary that we support through Gospel for Asia. Gospel for Asia is a sending agency that's purpose is to share the Good News of Jesus with those who have never heard His name. Gospel for Asia trains and sends national missionaries to unreached people groups to remove any social barriers from the Gospel. Saliendro is able to share the Gospel with many unreached people through our support. Please pray for his safety and the growth of his ministry.

Discipleship Essentials Starts This Wednesday!

We believe there are a handful of Biblical practices that lay the foundation for a lifetime of spiritual growth. This “hands on” workshop goes through seven key, "Discipleship Essentials", that will help you grow in your relationship with Christ. Discipleship Essentials is a 8-week study and will run Wednesday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, starting on January 19th.

Digging Deeper in the Book of Genesis

Are you reading through the book of Genesis? You are if you're doing our Bible Reading Challenge. We're encouraging members to read a chapter of the Bible each day, and right now we're in the first book of the Bible, the book of Genesis. Join us as we go back to the beginning and observe God, love, and life through our reading.

Serving in God's Kitchen

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35

Our church helps feed those in need on the second Wednesday of each month. We do this through a partnership with a local organization called "God's Kitchen" For more information contact Ingrid Mirander at ingridmirander@yahoo.com or sign-up at the Information Table. Need a Bible? We have Bibles available at our information center. These Bible are free and/or available at super low cost. Stop by the tables for more information.

P.S - We buy our Bibles in bulk from the International Bible Society. They offer Bibles in many translations (We use the New International Version) and many languages. If you're interested in learning more about them, you can check out their website.

Dig Deeper in the Book of Genesis

Our church is beginning a series through the book of Genesis. Here are some ideas for getting more out of this book of the Bible.

1) Read the Bible passage on your own - As we study a book of the Bible, read along on your own through the week. We encourage members to read a chapter of the Bible teach day (We call it the Bible Reading Challenge). As we study a book of the Bible, take the opportunity to read the a chapter from the book we're studying.

2) Take advantage of online Bible study tools - There are many resources available to help you better understand God's word. See our digging deeper webpage for more info.

3) Join a small group - Many of our small groups gather each week to study the same chapter of the Bible that we look at on Sunday. Small groups are a place to ask questions and dig deeper. Check one out this week.

Trinity

On Sunday we looked at Genesis 1. One of the topics was that of God existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Here is a link to an article that might be helpful to understand the Trinity.

There are many online resources to help you study God's word. You can find an assortment of Bible translations and Bible dictionaries that explain the background and meanings of people, places and things you see in the Bible. Our church believes there are a handful of discipleship essentials that form the foundation for following Christ. They include activities like spending time with God, sharing your faith, and serving others. One of these discipleship essentials is generous giving.

Mexico Outreach

Our church supports an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico called Casa Hogar. Towards the beginning of each month, a team of volunteers goes on a one-day trip to Ensenada to help share God's love.

New Series Starts This Sunday!

God is the one who said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” On the other hand, getting along with people isn’t easy either. To understand God, love, and how people can get along, we need to go "Back to the Beginning."
