Bible Reading Challenge

The Bible is the inspired word of God that helps us to know God and follow him. Many of us own a Bible, but don’t have a regular plan for reading it. To help bring focus, we’ve put together a Bible reading plan that brings you through a chapter of the Bible each day. If you follow this day by day checklist, you’ll be taking the next step toward knowing more of God’s word.

Check out our website for our Bible Reading Challenge checklist.

Do you follow our blog?

Do you follow our blog? If so, here's a timesaving tip. Many people "surf" the web and go from blog to blog to check out the latest postings. But it's possible to subscribe to our blog via newsreader or “aggregator". This program will pull the latest blog postings to your computer via something called an RSS Feed. (The icon above is a popular symbol that designates an RSS feed).

There are many popular (and free) newsreader programs out there. Here is a link for more information if you are interested - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggregator

May Giving Update 2012

How did we do in the month of May?

We were $3,200.44 short of our monthly budget.

How much does it “cost” to run the church?

In a 4-Sunday month it takes a minimum of $30,605. It allows us to pay the bills and fund a minimal amount to our ministries.

How much was the actual giving for the month?

The giving for this month was $27,404.56.

Here is a quick snapshot of this year:

Is there anything else I need to know?

If you’re someone who regularly gives to God at New Life: Thanks! Your giving makes a difference.

If you’re someone who is not yet giving: Make a decision to get involved. Take the first step toward the biblical practice of giving. You can find out more about giving here.

And for everyone: Please take time this week to pray for the finances of both our church family, and the individual families that make up New Life.
