3 Commitments

On September 13th we’re starting a six week series called First Things First.  The focus will be on putting God first in our lives.   As part of this series we’re asking members to make three commitments.

1)  Attend all six weeks of the series

2)  Memorize one Bible verse each week

3)  Join either a Life Group or Accelerate for the six weeks of the series

Please join us in praying that God will use this series to put first things first. 

 

New Series Starts September 13th

Are you living for what’s most important?  Join us on September 13th we talk about putting “First Things First”.    We’ll spend six weeks refocusing our priorities in order to better put God first in our lives. We’ll look at six decisions we can make toward a more Christ focused life.  These include:

- Make a Decision to Fully Follow Christ

- Deal with the “One Thing”

- Don’t Be Too Busy for God

- Always Say Yes to Jesus

- Put God First Even When it Costs You

- Decide that Following Christ is Worth the Work

Service times are at 9:30 and 11:00 am so pick the time that’s best for you. 

Reach Out to Your One?

At New Life, we ask members the question, "Who's Your One?"  This question flows from the Biblical truth that each person matters to God.  Our hope is that each member of New Life would have one person they are praying for and reaching out to with the love of Christ.  Take time each week to identify and pray for your "One".  For more information, visit our ONE webpage here.  

Life Groups are Starting UP!

Life groups are weekly gatherings where you can connect with others to discuss the the passage that we looked at during the weekend service.  A new small group session is starting on September 13th.

Office Closed on September 7th

Just a reminder that our church offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.  The office will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

Accelerate Starts September 16th

Accelerate is a group designed to move you forward in your relationship with Christ and your connection to the church family.

Can You Pray for Members of Our Church?

 

Can you Pray for Members of Our Church?
 If so, you may want to join our prayer team.  Each week, members of our church turn in personal prayer requests.  These prayer request are put on a prayer list and sent to those who will left them up in prayer.  If you have a desire to pray for others, you may be a great fit for this prayer team. People who are part of this prayer team must be members of New Life and make a commitment to keep all requests confidential.

Assurance of Salvation

 

Do you ever struggle with feelings of whether or not you are going to heaven? 

You're not the first person.  God's word tells us that it's possible to know where we'll be spending eternity.  We've prepared some materials that will walk you through what the Bible teaches on this topic.  These self-study materials are designed to give you a stronger sense of your standing with God.  You can find these online.  Or if you would like to talk to someone about your questions, please email us at connect@newlifecommunitychurch.net.

Mexico Outreach - Donate Items

Our church supports the Estado 29 Orphanage near Ensenada, Mexico. A practical way to show Christ’s love is to donate items to the children at Estado 29. The orphanage has an ongoing need of basic items to help care for the children. 

Household items

·    toilet paper

·    cooking oil

·    dish cleaning liquid

·    clothes cleaning liquid

·    clorox

·    pine-sol

·    windex

·    shampoo

·    toothpaste

·    deodorants

·    feminine hygiene products

Food items

·    powder milk

·    chocolate mix for milk

·    coffee

·    sugar

·    beans

·    rice

Smaller items may be dropped off in the Mexico drop box on the 3rd and 4th Sunday of each month.
 
For larger items please contact Jacob Ruiz to make arrangements for the supplies to be directly delivered to him. This will help to keep donations organized and ensure they get to the orphanage in a timely manner. You can reach Jacob at 760-218-9683.

Mexico Outreach

Our church supports an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico called Estado 29. Towards the beginning of each month, a team of volunteers goes on a one-day trip to Ensenada to help share God's love with the kids there.

Prayer Group

 

As followers of Christ we're called to seek God.  Jesus tells us "ask and it will be given to you, seek  and you will find" (Matthew 7:7).

In order to establish a stronger prayer presence in our church, we've launched a new prayer group.  This is an opportunity to gather together to pray for the church and for each other.

This group is led by Mark Loomis and meets twice a month on Saturday mornings for 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  The next prayer group meeting will be this Saturday, August 22nd at 9:00 am at our church in Room #5.  For more information, email Mark at mloomy@aol.com.

Connecting Point

 

Connecting Point is first step to get connected with our church family. We're glad you're here and want to welcome you.  Join us Sunday, August 23rd after the 11am service to hear more about New Life. This class also gives everyone a chance to ask questions, and meet some of our leaders.  Bring the whole family and we'll bring the food!  We will be meeting in Room #5.  You can also sign up by visiting our Info Center after service or by emailing us at: connecting@newlifecommunitychurch.net.
