Greek Words in the New Testament

Last Sunday we pointed out the meaning of a word in the original Greek. Are you interested in being able to find out the original meaning of words in the New Testament? If so, there are free online resources. Here is a link to an interlinear Bible. It has the English version of the Bible side by side with the Greek version. You can click on a word to pull up the original definition. Check it out.

Upcoming Message Series
Quiz, we did series through three books of the Bible in the last nine months. Do you remember those books?
If you picked Haggai, James and Job, you got it right. We spent the first nine months of the year focused on those books. We sprinkled in a couple short topical series.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Relationship Series – In October we’ll be doing a relationship series based on a verse by verse study of 1 Corinthians 7
The Book of Daniel – In November we’ll study the book of Daniel. The series is called “Stand Up” The book of Daniel has examples of people who stood up for what they believed in. Even if it meant facing the fiery furnace or the lion’s den.
Christmas – The book of Daniel will take us up the Holidays. On Sunday, December 20th we’ll have a service that focuses on God’s greatest gift. His Son Jesus Christ. This theme will continue on Thursday night, December 24th at our Christmas eve service.
The book of Ezekiel – At the first of the year we’re diving headlong into a study of the book of Ezekiel. This will be an indepth study that calls us to put God first in each area of our life.
Year to Date Giving

Here is a graph of our year to date giving. As you can see, the summer months hit us hard. Our weekly budget as a church is $9500. As you can tell, we are falling short of it. We know it's a tough time for many families, so please pray for God's provision for our church and the families of our congregation.
P.S. For those of you who are unfamiliar with "GIF" giving. It stands for "Growing in Faith" and it's special giving our members are contributing over and above their regular offering. As you can tell, that red colored "GIF" giving is getting us that much closer to making each week. Thanks to everyone who gives and a special thanks to our growing in faith givers.

Bible Reading Challenge

We want to help you become a more Bible-Centered Christian. We’re challenging every member to read a chapter of the Bible each day.
The Bible is the inspired word of God, it’s helps us to know God and follow him. Many of us own a Bible, but don’t have a regular plan for reading it. To help bring focus, we’ve put together a Bible reading plan that brings you through a chapter of the Bible each day. If you follow this day by day checklist, you’ll be taking the next step toward knowing more of God’s word.
Check out our website for complete reading lists: Here
