Surviving a Storm

On Sunday we looked at the account of Paul’s shipwreck in Acts chapter 27. To hear the talk online, you can go to the Weekend Message page.  The following is a snapshot of the talk.

Six Thoughts for Surviving a Storm

1) Shipwrecks happen when we ignore God’s warnings. Vs 9-11 “Instead of listening…”

2) The hard hits of a storm can tempt us to give up hope. Vs 20 “We finally gave up all hope of being saved.”

3) During a storm, even one person can make a difference. Vs 21 “Paul stood up…”

4) Surviving a storm takes courage. vs 22-25 “Keep up your courage”

5) Surviving a storm takes faith. Vs 33-36 “Not one of you will lose a single hair”

6) Sometimes God uses storms and unexpected detours for His glory.
