On Sunday we looked at the
account of Paul’s shipwreck in Acts chapter 27. To hear the talk online, you
can go to the Weekend Message page. The
following is a snapshot of the talk.
Six Thoughts for Surviving a Storm
1) Shipwrecks happen when we ignore God’s
warnings. Vs 9-11 “Instead of
listening…”
2) The hard hits of a storm can tempt us to give
up hope. Vs 20 “We finally gave
up all hope of being saved.”
3) During a storm, even one person can make a
difference. Vs 21 “Paul stood
up…”
4) Surviving a storm takes courage. vs 22-25 “Keep up your courage”
5) Surviving a storm takes faith. Vs 33-36 “Not one of you will lose a single hair”
6) Sometimes God uses storms and unexpected
detours for His glory.
