Today we continued a series called "Follow". Our topic was "Make a Decision to Fully Follow Christ". Topic points:
As a disciple of Christ I'm called to...
1) Love Jesus more than anyone else.
2) Love Jesus more than I love myself.
3) Surrender my life for Christ.
4) Surrender everything for the sake of Christ.
Four ways this passage helps:
1) It sets expectations ahead of time.
2) It saves us from attempting something that can not be done.
3) It makes it easier, not harder to follow Jesus.
4) It lets me know that following Christ isn't part of my life, it's the focus of my life.
