Church Service in This Building on April 29th

Our church has been presented with a possible opportunity to move out of current locations (Santiago High School and Corona Hills) and into a building of our own, only four lots away from our property. There is still more information to find out, but we’re far enough along that we want to get our whole church family involved in the process.

On April 29th we’re going to hold a special service in this building. This will be an opportunity for members to visit the building, and share their thoughts on making this move. There will be one service at 11:00 in the morning, children's classes will happen. There will also be an opportunity before and after the service for members to tour the building! Don't miss this special event! See below for the address

Link's From Sunday's Message on The Bible

Sunday's topic was on Evidence for the Reliability of the Bible. Here are some links for those who want to learn more

1) The website of the International Bible Society answers many frequently asked questions about the Bible including...
  • Who wrote the Bible?
  • When was the Bible written?
  • Is the Bible inspired? And what does that mean?
  • How were the books of the Bible chosen?
  • Why do some Bibles have a section called the Apocrypha?
  • What are the Dead Sea Scrolls?
  • Why are there so many versions of the English Bible?
  • Is the Bible at odds with science?

2) A popular book for the credibility of the Bible is called "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" By Josh McDowell. Here is a website where someone outlined the book.

Our church has been presented with a possible opportunity to move out of current locations (Santiago High School and Corona Hills) and into a building of our own, only four lots away from our property. There is still more information to find out, but we’re far enough along that we want to get our whole church family involved in the process.

On April 19th we’re going to hold a special service in this building. This will be an opportunity for members to visit the building, and share their thoughts on making this move. There will be one service at 11:00 in the morning. We’ll be having time before and after the service for members to tour the building.

As you can see from the picture above, the building is nice looking with plenty of glass. It's two story and built out with offices and classroom space.

The building is right along the 15 fwy, we'll be able to put our sign on the outside and over 150,000 people a day will drive by and see us.

The building has a lot of parking.

Stay tuned for more information. If you want to drive by and see it, take the 15 fwy south, exit on Weirick. Go left (east) on Weirick, and then turn right (south) on Temescal. The building currently has an APC sign on the outside.

Invite a Friend to Easter Sunday

Easter is the one Sunday out of the year when people are most open to attending church. Do you know someone who need to know Christ, invite them to church this weekend!

Our topic is "Examining the Evidence for the Resurrection". This message is part of our CSI:Jerusalem series. If you know someone who needs to consider the claims of Christ, bring them to church Sunday.

"Then the master told his servant, `Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full'." Luke 14:23

Free Gift for Easter Sunday

One Easter Sunday our topic is evidence for the resurrection of Christ. In keeping with this topic we've purchased copies of the book "The Case for Easter" These books are available free (while supplies last) to guests and members. We hope you'll invite a friend to church, if so, make sure you get them a copy of this book. They will be available at the information table.

Book Description: Did Jesus of Nazareth really rise from the dead? Of the many world religions, only one claims that its founder returned from the grave. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the very cornerstone of Christianity. How credible is the evidence for-and against-the resurrection? Focusing his award-winning skills as a legal journalist on history's most compelling enigma, Lee Strobel retraces the startling findings that led him from atheism to belief.

Time Correction for Good Friday Service

A mailer went out that incorrectly listed both a 5:30 and 7:00 pm service time. There will only be one service at 7:00 pm, there will not be a 5:30 Service. P.S. The service will be at our Corona Hills facility.

The service will continue our theme CSI:Jerusalem. We'll look at a unique teaching of the Christian Faith - that going to heaven is based on what God does for us, not what we do for God. Religion is often described as humanities search for God, Christianity is God's search for humanity. Join us as we explore this distinctive teaching of the Christian faith.
