"Re:Start" Series (7.21.19 Message)





Today we continued our "Re:Start" series.  See below for more...

1) Don't be surprised if people oppose you.

2) Don't be surprised if some of the people who say they want to help, are actually there to hurt.
3) Don't be surprised if some of the people who say they follow God, don't follow God.
4) Don't be surprised if you have to say "no" to others and follow God alone.
5) Don't be surprised when it feels like everything is working against you.
6) Don't be surprised if there's times of discouragement, difficulty and fear, that test your resolve to go on.
7) Don't be surprised if the enemy uses other people to pull you down.
8) Don't be surprised if there's times of frustration, and the problems don't leave you alone.
9) Don't be surprised if people accuse you.
10) Don't be surprised if along the way, there are moments when it looks like the enemy is winning.
11) Don't forget (even when things are at a standstill) that nothing in all creation can stop the God whom we serve.

Promotion Sunday in Kidzlife



3 things that are happening on Promotion Sunday, August 4th in Kidzlife:

       
1) Kids are Moving Up:  We are so excited for the kids to be moving up in grades.  In some cases, this may mean moving to the next age division at church. 
       
2) Game Time for Kids:  To help kick off our Promotion Sunday, we will have some fun activities inside the classrooms during the Sunday services. 

3) Classroom Grade Levels:  Below are the classroom grade divisions to help get kids to the right class.

        1) Nursery - Pre-K             = Room #1
        2) Kinder to 3rd Grade       = Room #2 
        3) 4th to 6th Grade            = Room #3
        4) 7th to 12th Grade          = Youth

1) Let's begin by focusing first on what is most important.


2) Let's pray for God to provide the resources.
3) Let's pray for God's help to begin the work.
4) Let's pray for God to raise up leaders.
5) Let's celebrate God's faithfulness along the way.
6) Let's celebrate progress along the way.
7) Let's pray that our hearts would be moved by the things of God.
8) Let's acknowledge the perspective of those who saw the former temple.
9) Let's recognize that when rebuilding, there may be mixed emotions.
10) Let's pray that the sound of God's deliverance is heard by those who are far away.

"Re:Start" Series (6.30.19 Message)




On Sunday we started our "Re:Start" series. See below for more...

1) God is big enough to fulfill His word.

2) God is big enough to move any heart.
3) God is big enough to deliver us from any circumstances.
4) God is big enough to stir people's hearts to help.
5) God is big enough to provide the resources to accomplish His purposes.
6) God is big enough to bring help from unexpected places and unexpected people.
7) God is big enough to retain and restore that which has been taken.
8) God is big enough to bring the right people to provide the right help.
9) God is big enough that we don't need to compromise.
10) God is big enough to do whatever is needed to deliver His people and accomplish His eternal purposes through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Youth Summer Camp




This summer, from July 29-August 3, our youth will be going to summer camp.  This is a great time for them to be able to be in an environment where they can unplug and focus on God for a week.  The price is $350 per student, and we still have several students in need of sponsorships.  So if you are interested in making a donation to help sponsor a student for camp, please give our Student Director Jared Lampson a call at 661-912-2555.

Sometimes you find yourself starting over in life. How do you rebuild from the ground up. Join us from Sunday, June 30th to July 28th for a study in the book of Ezra. Youth Summer Camp




This summer we will be going to Jenness park for summer camp from July 29-August 3.  This is a great time for students to connect to God in a place free from distractions and also connect to one another. The cost is $350 per student, and is due on July 1st. We have some students who need sponsors, so if you are interested in sponsoring a student please let us know at the information table/talk to Jared.  We are also having a parent/youth leader meeting for camp on Sunday, June 23rd at 12:15 p.m.

Mexico Outreach Donations




Our church supports an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico called Estado 29.  Towards the beginning of each month, a team of volunteers goes on a one-day trip to Ensenada to help share God's love with the kids there.

  • Avoiding discouragement during a spiritual remodel

1) The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a cornerstone of the Christian faith.
2) With Christ, the resurrection has already begun.
3) The resurrection shows that God’s plan to get us to heaven works.

Three questions:

A) Do I believe Christ died for my sins?
B) Do I believe Christ rose from the dead?
C) Am I In Christ?

As we transition into summer time we are excited to see what God has in store for the youth ministry! Beginning on May 13th youth group will be on Monday nights, and we will be including the sixth graders in our Monday night program.
