A Chapter a Day

Hey New Lifer's,

In mid November, we encouraged our members to read a chapter of the Bible each day.  We provided a reading plan that brought you through the life of David.  Congratulations to all who read along with us.

This Sunday we're introducing a Bible reading plan for 2009.  We want to help our members become Bible Centered Christians.  Make sure you attend to find out more.

As we continue to struggle financially and as our church members continue to struggle in the current economy, please pray as we consider changes to meet our current giving. We praise God for his continued blessings and thank everyone who gives to God at New Life.

Come to a Growing in Faith Information Meeting

Three years ago, our church came together and bought a piece of property. We called this project “Growing in Faith”. As a result of this step of faith, a sign that reads “Future Home of New Life” stands on our land. Now it’s time to time to take the next step forward.

Growing in Faith is an all church project, and we want each member to understand what’s next. For this reason we’ve set up a series of informational meetings between now and the end of the year. We’re asking each member to make the time to attend one of these meetings.

At this meeting, you’ll find out

- Why we’re working toward a church home of our own
- Where we are in the process of moving forward
- A preview of what the building will look like
- What we need to do take the next step
- Ways members can play a part

Pick a Meeting Time that’s Best for You:

- Wednesday, November 19th at 7:00pm
- Tuesday, November 25th at 7:00pm
- Monday, December 1st at 7:00pm
- Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00pm
- Tuesday, December 9th at 7:00pm
- Thursday, December 11th at 7:00pm

Childcare is Available: Childcare is available upon request. Just shoot us an email, or give us a call and we’ll set up a childcare provider.

Sign up Now: You can email us with the date you’ll attend at growinginfaith@newlifecommunitychurch.net. You can also give us a call, or sign up on Sunday morning at the Information Table.

Bible Reading Project-One Page a Day

We’re inviting all members to read a chapter a day (about one page) of the Bible between now and the end of the year. We’ve created a reading checklist that will get you through the biblical story of the David. We’re studying David on Sunday morning, so you can read throughout the week, and then come and learn more on Sunday.

You can download the checklist here

Praise report!

As many of you may know, we lease our facility on a monthly basis. The cost is about $10,000 a month. Right now times are tight financially, and in a completely unexpected move, our landlord just dropped our cost by $1000 a month! That’s a big help for our church. Take time to praise God for this blessing. Also, please continue to pray that our giving will rise enough for us to meet our monthly bills.

Prayer Request from the Church Staff

Prayer Request from the Church Staff:

The economy is affecting everyone, including the church. Over the last six weeks, both the regular giving and Growing in Faith giving has taken a sharp downturn. As a result we are falling short of paying our most basic bills.

Times are tight for everyone. But we believe that God can provide even in the midst of hard times. Please pray that God will provide for the financial needs of our members and the financial needs of our church. Our God is a mighty God!

Did you make a commitment to Christ on Sunday?

On Sunday we encouraged members to "Think Eternally".  On the day of judgment, the most important thing is that your name is written in the lambs book of life.  On Sunday we talked about how it that happens.  If you missed the message you can listen to it here

If you made a commitment to Christ, or decided to be baptized.  Here's a few steps you can take.

1)  Let us know you're committing your life to Christ.  Email us at info@newlifecommunitychurch.net and we can send you some helpful materials to assist you in taking the next step spiritually.

2)  Join us for the next baptism. We have a baptism scheduled for Sunday, November 23rd.  We hope you'll be a part.  If you're interested, email us at baptism@newlifecommunitychurch.net
