Giving Update...
Today is the last day of our Summer quarter.
Summer is often a low time for giving. This Summer was no exception! We’ve had a couple extra low months that have left us with a "minus" Here are three things you can you do to help…
1. Pray – pray that God would touch people’s hearts to be generous givers.
2. Give - If you’ve fallen behind in your giving, now is the time to catch up!
3. Communicate - Help us communicate the importance of giving in your circle of influence.
Thanks in advance for your prayers!

On Mission - Align Meetings
We want to give a huge thanks to our leaders!
If you haven't heard, we're in the process of getting "On Mission" as a church. And our leaders are leading the way! They have committed to a series of five monday evening meetings called "Align". These meetings are custom designed to bring unity and alignment with the “why” “what” and “how” of becoming a disciple making church. Here are some pictures from last nights meeting. Please take this week to pray for our leaders.

Children's Offering
God asks us to give a portion of everything he provides back to him as a step of faith, and we want to share that truth with all the children. Children have an opportunity to give an offering in our children's classes. We invited parents to use this as an opportunity to share this important value with their kids. If you have any questions, please contact our children's staff at kidzlife@newlifecommunitychurch.net

A Big Thank You!
Thanks!
Due to your help, we were able to help children in need in our community. Last week we delivered back to school supplies to the Settlement House. A local outreach that supports those in need. These supplies were donated by members of our church and organized by our children’s classes. This quarter our outreach project will be providing gifts for Casa Hogar, the orphanage we support in Mexico. Stay tuned for more information.

Follow Up From Sunday's Message
Sunday was the start of our series on the Holy Spirit. Our focus was on the need for the power of God’s Spirit to bring true change. If you want to learn more about how people change. Here are two resources that might help….
“Living a Changed Life” This message is a study of the “Put On, Put Off” principle from Ephesians 4.

Holy Spirit versus Human Effort - The following is an excerpt from the first message in January where a contrast is made between relying on the Holy Spirit versus trying to accomplish your goals solely through human effort.

The Transformer September 9th!
Most new years resolutions fade, most diets fail, and too many “promises” to change run out of gas. It’s one thing to have a desire to change, it’s another thing to have the power to see it through.
God has a “powered up” plan to change your life. He doesn’t just invite us to change. He gives us the power to do it. He does this by sending the Transformer.
Join us for a 4 week series on how God changes lives. Topics include:
Powering Up – Understanding Why Most Change Doesn’t Work
Looking Up – Learning Who the Transformer is and How He Works
Listening Up – Embracing the Tools of the Transformer
Filling Up – Experiencing More of the Transformer’s Power in Your Life.

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken...
"After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly." Acts 4:31
We experienced that on Sunday morning! At the end of the 9:30 service, during prayer, the place where we meet "was shaken".
It's always interesting when God shakes things up. Apparently this shaking orginated from an earthquake near the 15 fwy and Indian Truck trail.
Let's pray that the second half of the verse is also true - that we are filled with the Holy Spirit and speak the word of God boldly!
