January Financial Update
The January Giving was - $32,360
The amount we need to pay the bills - $42,907
The difference – a shortfall of $10,547
Thanks to everyone who faithfully supports our church. The giving for the month of January was $32,360, the minimum amount we need to pay the bills is $42,907. This means we had a shortfall of $10,547. As a result we will carry a “minus” into the next month, please pray for God’s provision for our church.

It’s that easy! For more information call Cherlyn Johnson at 775-1140 or email care@newlifecommunitychurch.net
On Mission Moment - Grounded in Christ
Our purpose as a church is to
1) Professes faith in Christ’s finished work
Someone who is grounded in Christ experiences forgiveness of sins and salvation through Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross. They place their faith in Christ and Christ alone. They believe that his death on the cross is sufficient to cover all sins, past, present and future. (Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9, 1Peter 3:18)
2) Experiences assurance of salvation through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. When we place our faith in Christ, we receive the promised gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God’s guarantee that we belong to Him and are going to heaven. (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 5:5, 2 Corinthians 1:22). Someone who is grounded in their faith is experiencing assurance of salvation and the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. (Ro 8:9)
3) Publicly declares their faith through baptism. Someone who is grounded has obeyed Christ’s command to be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Our church practices “believer’s” baptism, which means that the person must be old enough to personally place their faith in Christ. Our method of baptism is baptism by immersion. To learn more about baptism, or to see a video of a baptism, check out the information below.
If you want to find out more about being Grounded in Christ, here are some options
1) Attend “Accelerate” This workshop is designed to get you grounded in Christ, it’s normally offered each quarter. You can check more information on Accelerate here.
2) Learn more about Baptism – you can go online to our baptism webpage or email us at baptism@newlifecommunitychurch.net
3) Talk to a staff member – email us at connect@newlifecommunitychurch.net.

Prayer for Monday Meeting with the County
Does The Move to Corona Hills affect our plans for building on our Property?
Now that we are back in the Corona Hills facility, one question is, “How does this affect our plans for building on our property” We hope it may result in speeding up our plans.
We are actively exploring the possibility of building on our property sooner than we first imagined. The plan is to begin with a smaller building and “phase” in our construction.
The key factor in determining the timeline for moving into a building is our giving. Each month members of the church are giving to a project Growing in Faith. It’s the level of giving which determines the speed at which we can move forward.
You can follow the Growing in Faith blog to keep track of progress.
Week One of Accelerate
Accelerate started this week with the biggest group ever – 16 people. Everyone who signed up, showed up.
Let’s pray that God uses this group to help people get grounded, growing and on mission.
Accelerate is a key step to getting connected to our church. To find out more accelerate click here.

Property Meeting With Riverside County
As you may know, we are hoping to move forward as quickly as we can in constructing a building on our property. Our next step is to have our plot plan approved by the County of Riverside. Last week we meet with the Riverside County Planning department.
At this meeting we were introduced to the person who will be our case planner and showed them our proposed site plan. The meeting went very well. Our civil engineer got the answers he needs to move ahead with the conceptual site plan.
In a couple weeks we will meet with a senior planner who is in charge of entitlement. Entitlement is the process of having our plot plan approved. To learn more about entitlement, check out this post.

Outreach to Corona Hills
It’s been four years since we’ve done any outreach in Corona Hills. Moving back to the building is an opportunity to once again reach out to this community. We hope to send a mailer to the Corona Hills area letting everyone know that we are once again meeting there. If you would like to give toward this, write “Outreach” on your gift.
Update: We have already received $1000 for outreach, the total cost will probably be $2500

Praise Report - Growing in Faith Giving for the Month December
We have a praise report! Giving toward Growing in Faith for the month of the December was $19,000. This is more than the average ($12,000 a month). This extra large amount helps make up for the previous two months in which the Growing in Faith giving was below the needed amount (only $7500). So all in all, we ended the year where we needed to be! Thanks to all who are giving to Growing in Faith.

Growing in Faith Update
We want to let you know that we are taking a fresh look at the possibility of constructing a building on our property. Here’s why:
Because of the increased value of our property, and the possibility that we could construct a smaller, starter building, we believe it may be possible to build on our property sooner than we imagined. We are busy working with the county to get more details.
We’re still gathering information, but we want to let you know so you can be praying with us.
We also want to give you a big thanks for supporting Growing in Faith. It’s your monthly Growing in Faith giving that has brought us to this point and it’s your giving that will help us move forward.
