Invite Someone!
A big part of reaching out to our community is inviting our neighbors to come join us at our weekend worship experiences. Here is one way to do that:
Pray – We need God’s help. Spend time in prayer asking God to draw the people we invite to Him. Ask God to show you someone you can invite. Pray for someone you have invited.

God@Work
Hey New Lifer's
This year we are seeing more and more people make commitments to Christ.
We want to encourage you with some God@Work reports from our church family!
__________________________________________________
This year we are seeing more and more people make commitments to Christ.
We’ve seen twice as many people baptized in the first half of this year, than all of last year!
Three Sundays back, 11 children made a decision to follow Christ!
We have 25 new people serving in ministry since the first of the year
13 people just went through Intro to Leadership – Keep your eyes open for some new leaders!
7 people are currently in small group leader training – more small groups are on the way!
Since the beginning of the year we’ve had over new 40 people who are attending our church.

Invite Someone!
A big part of reaching out to our community is inviting our neighbors to come join us at our weekend worship experiences. Here is one way to do that:
Door-2-Door – Once a month a group of people will target a neighborhood to go knocking on doors inviting people or just passing around invite cards. Each person or group goes to about 30 residents, which takes about 20-45 minutes. You can either leave the invite card at the door or make it more personal and knock to give someone a friendly invite. If you’d like to go or just follow along, you can sign up at the Information Table on Sunday or contact our office at 951.736.5433. Our next door to door will be Sunday, August 31st.

God's Kitchen
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in" Matthew 25:35
This was our first week of serving at God's Kitchen. We want to give a big thanks to the volunteers who served. Our church will be serving the second Wednesday of each month. For more information contact Ingrid Mirander at 951-907-1365.

Invite Someone!
A big part of reaching out to our community is inviting our neighbors to come join us at our weekend worship experiences. Here is one way to do that:
Community Events – Occasionally we will get involved in a local community event where we set up a tent to be a visible information booth to our Corona neighbors. This helps create identity in the community and provides a platform to engage people in conversation and/or invite them to New Life. We do this about once a year. Keep an eye out for the next opportunity to get involved with a community event.

God's Kitchen
During the Sunday service we talked God's Kitchen, an organization our church is supporting. On the second Wednesday of the month, we have an opportunity to serve those in need. If you would like information on being scheduled to serve, please contact Ingrid Mirandar. If you would like more information on God's Kitchen, here is a website link for more information.
Help those in need in our church family
On Sunday we talked about helping those in need. We have needy individuals in our own church family.
If you would like to help a fellow member in need. We have a suggestion.
Normally, the church helps members by giving them a gift card to a local grocery store. This card can be used to buy food and supplies by the family who is going through a tough time.
If you want to help, buy a gift card from a local grocery store, drop it off at the church office and we will pass the gift card on to a family in need.
For more information, contact the director of our Care Team - Mike Wagner at mikew@newlifecommunitychurch.net

Please Pray for our Church
Invite Someone
A big part of reaching out to our community is inviting our neighbors to come join us at our weekend worship experiences. Here is one way to do that:
Series Mailers – Each new message series, we send approximately 900 invite cards to 1 or 2 smaller mailing routes in the community. These work great to not only let folks know we are in the community, but the current series topic may be of interest to someone receiving the invite. The cost for these is much less. Most the help needed to send these is for people to help label the invite mailers. If you would like to help label these outreach mailers, please contact our office at 951.736.5433
Outreach Update
A hand full of folks went out braving the treacherous heat on Sunday to invite about 175 of our neighbors to church this coming Sunday, as well as, we are sending out about 900 invite mailers to some folks in the Corona Hills area this week. Be praying that God would use those invites to draw people to Him and that he would stir the hearts of our members to reach out and invite someone this week. Also, be praying and thinking about someone you can invite to join us Sunday.
PS – we had someone give a $200 dollar offering towards outreach mailers this past Sunday to help us send out a large fall invite mailing.

$100,000 gift to the church?
Have you heard that phrase "dirt cheap" Turns out dirt isn't cheap! When doing a construction project you often have to import dirt to create the "pad" for the building and raise portions of our property for drainage reasons. IWe have good news, we found someone who is bringing us the dirt free of charge. This dirt is worth close to $100,000 This is one more praise report regarding our land.

Thoughts on Forgiveness
During the Sunday service we talked about forgiveness. Here are some thoughts that may be helpful as you think about what forgiveness is and isn't.
What Forgiveness is not - Forgiveness isn’t saying, “What you did to me is Okay” What the person did may be dead wrong. Forgiveness is not forgetting that it ever happened. . Forgiveness isn’t denying that it hurt. Forgiveness doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt anymore. It doesn’t mean that you no longer feel any emotions when you think about it.
Forgiveness is not pretending “I can’t pretend it didn’t happen.” God doesn’t call us to pretend, or retreat from reality. Forgiveness isn’t forgetting reality, it’s facing reality. Forgiveness is not closing our eyes to the past. But it is opening our heart to the future..
Forgiveness is not Foolishness - If you steal from me, I can forgive you, but I don’t have to loan you money again. It’s doesn’t mean you have to go back to being best friends. It doesn’t necessarily mean you ever have to spend time with them again. It doesn’t mean things are going to be like they were before.

What forgiveness is - What is forgiveness? Forgiveness means that when someone sins against you, you put the punishment for that sin into God’s hands. It’s giving up your right to be repaid for the wrong committed against you. You let go of their debt and put it in God’s hands. God if you want to collect it, or punish them, that’s your business. But I’m not going to demand they be punished. I’m not going to demand they pay me back. I means that you no longer reserve the right to hold your hurt against them in God’s sight Forgiveness is the opposite of prosecution. Forgiveness is deciding not to prosecute the case in God’s court of law
The Bible uses the analogy of debt. In the Lord’s prayer, it says, “Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” Forgiving someone who sins against you is like forgiving the debt of someone who owes you money. You’re not saying that they didn’t take the money, you’re not saying that you don’t have a right to collect the money, you’re not saying that you don’t have the right ask them to pay you back. You simply choose to not exercise that right. You sign the note over to God. You release your claim to God and let Him decide whether or not He wants to collect from them.
