"Fight Club" Series starts this Sunday
If you’re the kind of
person who doesn’t easily give up, then you know that life often involves a

an addiction, or maintaining your integrity in a difficult work situation. If you’re someone who’s trying to fight the
good fight, join us for our new series – “Fight Club”. Our Services are on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. For more information go to www.newlifecommunitychurch.net
Topics include:
· Don't fight the wrong
battle
|
· Don't bring a squirt gun
to a knife fight
|
· What to do when you’ve
done everything

When judgment triumphs over mercy.
4) When parents
become like a forgetful high priest.

good behavior

Spring Giving Update
The first three months of 2018 are in the record book, and it’s time for a financial update.
Time for a Change - A big 1st quarter change is the reduction of our church facility. At the end of February, we let go of almost 1000 square feet of space. We want to thank everyone who helped with this move as your efforts were a huge help! This change will result in savings for our church as we go forward.
Outreach Giving – Thanks to everyone who made a special gift for our Spring outreach. God used your giving to bring new people to church! With your help, we did outreach for our “Building Better Relationships" series and for Easter Sunday.
Giving Report – We have many generous givers at New Life, but our church still faces a shortfall. We have been busy reducing costs and watching expenses, yet for the first three months of 2018 our weekly giving fell short of our base budget by a total of $2808. This averages out to a shortfall of $216 a week. On a positive note, keep in mind that our rent reduction didn’t go into effect until March. Shortfalls are never good, but with God’s help we can close this gap!
Thanks to all who give to God at New Life. Your giving helps us carry out our mission of sharing Christ. Let’s pray that God provides for our church as we continue to share His word.

Can You Lend a Helping Hand to Those in Need?
The Bible says “He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.” (Proverbs 19:17). There are members of our community, and even our own church family who are in need. One practical way to help is to buy a gift card to a local grocery store, or superstore. You can bring the gift card to the church office and we will use it to help a member in need.

Bible Reading Challenge
The Bible is the inspired word of God that helps us to know God and follow Him. Many of us own a Bible, but don't have a regular plan for reading it.
To help bring focus, we've put together a Bible reading plan that brings you through a chapter of the Bible each day. If you follow this day-to-day checklist, you'll be taking the next step toward knowing more of God's Word.
Check out our website to download the Bible Reading Challenge checklist.
