Are You Reading Your Bible?

Are you reading through the book of 1 Samuel?  You are if you're following our Bible Reading Challenge.  The Bible is the inspired word of God that helps us to know God and follow Him.  Many of us own a Bible, but don't have a regular plan for reading it.  
 
To help bring focus, we've put together a Bible reading plan that brings you through a chapter of the Bible each day.  If you follow this day-to-day checklist, you'll be taking the next step toward knowing more of God's Word.

Spring Half Time Lunch

Dear New Life Leader's!  We want to invite you to a 40 minute lunch on Sunday, May 7^th.  This will be a quick opportunity to touch base and stay connected as we serve Christ.  The lunch will run from 12:20 to 1:00 pm and childcare will be provided.  Spouses are invited, but there is limited seating, so please RSVP!  Hope to see you on May 7^th.  

Parent - Teen Banquet Celebration Night

Come celebrate our graduating 8th, and 12th grade students on Sunday, May 21st, for dinner.  The cost is $15 per person.  We will be celebrating it at The Old Spaghetti Factory of Riverside.  This is a semi-formal event.  For more information, please stop by the info tent on Sundays or email us at info@newlifecommunitychurch.net.

Mexico Orphanage Outreach

Our church supports an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico called Estado 29.  Towards the beginning of each month, a team of volunteers goes on a one-day trip to Ensenada to help share God's love with the kids there.

Spring Giving Update

For the first three months of 2017, our weekly giving fell short of our base budget by -$114 a week.  

Thanks to all who give to God at New Life.  Your giving helps us carry out the mission of Christ.  Let’s pray that God provides for our church as we share Christ.

"The Case For Christ" Movie Night

One of our life groups is going to the movies to see the "Case for Christ” this Tuesday and everyone is invited.  The group will be attending the 6:15 showing at the Riverside Plaza Movie Theatre.  They’ll meet afterwards for coffee to discuss the movie.  If you are interested in joining, contact Greg Olney at gregory_olney@yahoo.com. 

 

"Love Never Fails" Series (4.23.17 Message)

On Sunday, we started our "Love Never Fails" series, while going through the book of 1 Corinthians Chapter 13.

Message Points:

1) Without love, the rest doesn't really matter.
2) Without love, words are just noise.
3) Without love, our greatest sacrifices gain nothing.
4) Love is a powerful way God works through us. 
5) Love flows from the character of God. 
6) Love is the mark of a maturing follower of Christ.
7) Living a life of love will be our greatest accomplishment.

Grow in God's Word

We grow spiritually by reading God's word. If you do not have a Bible, we would love to give you a Bible for free as an encouragement to start reading God's word.

Be sure to check out our Bible Reading Challenge, and other resources available online and at our info center on Sunday's after each service, for getting more out of your Bible reading.

BBQ this Sunday, April 23rd

April 23rd is the start of our new series, “Love Never Fails”.  To kick it off, there will be a barbeque in the parking lot after both the 9:30 and 11:00 am service. We’ll have activities for the kids, food for everyone, and a chance to hang out and have fun.
