How did we do in the first half of the year?
We fell short by a total of $21,074 for the first six months of 2012. This averages out to a monthly shortfall of $2,523, or a weekly shortfall of $810. We are still facing a tough economy and it is reflected in our church’s giving.
How much does it “cost” to run the church?
On average, it takes a minimum of $32,265 a month to do ministry at New Life. This is the bare bones fixed costs of keeping the doors open. It allows us to pay the bills, but leaves little for actual ministry.
How did we cover the shortfall?
We covered the shortfall by not funding some of our core ministries, and by taping into our reserve funds.
