"Healthy Relationships" (12.29.19 Message)

Gift to the King

The holidays are a time for tradition.  One of the traditions at New Life is the annual “Gift to the King” Christmas offering.  God has given us so much, and this is an opportunity to give back to Him.

Gift to the King is a time to make a special gift “over and above” your regular giving, toward Christ’s work at our church.  Your gift will go directly to strengthen our outreach, our weekend services, our children’s ministry, our youth program and the other important ministries at New Life.

You can make your gift online, or write "Gift to the King" on your gift during the Weekend Service. 

Our "Follow" Series starts Sunday, January 5th

Jesus calls out to his disciples, “Follow Me”. We’re starting the new year with a focus on Following Christ. Join us on Sunday, January 5th for a series called “Follow”. Topics include:

Can You Serve at Our BBQ Events for 2020?

Throughout the year we have BBQ’s after the Sunday services.  These events provide an opportunity to hang out together, eat and have fun.  As we start 2020, we are looking for a BBQ point person.  This individual would purchase supplies during the week, set up the BBQ on Sunday, and oversee the event.  If you’re interested in helping, let us know and we can share more details.  To find out more, send an email to info@newlifecommunitychurch.net

"A Christmas Story" (12.22.19 Message)

Today we learned lessons from the life of Joseph.  
Topic points:

1) Even when life is hard, do the right thing in the right way.
2) Sometimes God waits for us to make up our mind before asking us to change it.
3) When God speaks, reconsider.
4) Obeying God can be scary - do it anyway.
5) If you want to boost your faith, know your Bible.
6) Sometimes serving God requires sacrificing.
7) Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world.
8) Jesus Christ is God with us.

Can You Sponsor a Student for Youth Winter Camp?

Our youth winter camp is coming up for 2020. We will head up to Bakersfield on Saturday, January 18th and heading back down on Monday, January 20th. Please be praying for our students to have a safe trip and for their hearts to be drawn closer to God.

Each year, we have students who are unable to afford camp. If you would like to help financially support students to go to camp, please write "camp sponsor" on your gift to New Life. The cost of camp is $85.00 per student. You can either give your support in the regular offering on Sunday's, or send it to the church offices at:

Christmas Eve @ New Life

Jesus Christ is Lord, and we want you to experience Christ’s presence this Christmas.  Join us for a special Christmas Eve service on Tuesday, December 24th @ 5:00 p.m.  We’ll sing Christmas songs, learn from the Christmas story, and celebrate communion.  Hope to see you there!

Youth Christmas Party... In PJ's

Our youth ministry had their Christmas party this past Sunday for their last youth night of the year, and had a blast!  They dressed up in special pajamas, made ginger bread houses, and had a great time connecting with one-another.  Merry Christmas everyone! 

A Christmas Story...

Wisemen led by a star, a baby placed in a manger, angels announcing "peace on earth and goodwill toward men”/ These are well-known events surrounding the birth of Christ.  This Sunday, we’re going to look at a less familiar part of the Christmas story… the part where Joseph wants to divorce Mary!  (Yes, it’s in the Bible).

"Focus" Series (12.15.19 Message)

Today we continued a series called "Focus".  Our topic was "Focus - Focus on Serving God in Everyday Ways".  Topic points:

1) Who is one person or what is one need that I can pray for this week?
2) What is one thing I can thank God for this week?
3) What's one way I can pray for those who share the gospel?
4) What's one opportunity in which I can make a difference through my actions?
5) What's one conversation in which I can sprinkle a little salt?
6) Is there someone I need to be wrestling for in prayer?
7) What is one way I can work hard for the cause of Christ this week?
8) What's one action I can take towards finishing that which God called me to do?

Sunday, January 5th, 2020 BBQ!

Join us for a start of the year barbeque! We’ll have food in the parking lot after both services on Sunday, January 5th.  There will be a jumper for the kids and an opportunity for the adults to hang out, eat, and make new friends.

Our Next Child Dedication is this Sunday

Our next Child Dedication will be on Sunday, December 8th. If you would like to have your child dedicated, let us know.

Connecting Point is this Sunday, December 8th

Connecting Point is a great first step to get connected  at New Life.  It's a forty-five minute lunch that is designed to help you learn more about our church.  It's an opportunity to discover ways to grow, to ask questions and to meet some of our leaders.

Our next Connecting Point will meet in Room #2 on Sunday, December 8th from 12:15p.m. - 1:00p.m.  Bring the whole family and we'll bring the lunch.  You  can sign up at our info center on Sundays after the services or by emailing us here.
